Sugar Cookie Dough (recipe from Baked Perfection)
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 almond extract
2 eggs
Mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt, set aside.
In a large bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Slowly beat in the
flour mixture until fully absorbed. Separate dough into two disks, wrap in
plastic wrap, and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours or overnight.
Filling and Icing
1 tablespoon melted butter
1/4 c granulated sugar
1 tbsp. ground cinnamon
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp. milk
